Nina is a Senior Urban Regeneration Advisor based at TPG’s Auckland office.
Nina has worked in the fields of urban design, architecture, housing, arts and placemaking within Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas for over 20 years. She has substantial experience working with councils, communities, developers and others on residential and commercial work as well as on community and planning projects.
Prior to joining TPG Nina worked as a Senior Urban Designer at Motu Design. As part of her role, she worked with Auckland Council as an Urban Design Consultant for the assessment of resource consents and variations for a wide range of developments including large commercial and retail complexes, residential and mixed-use apartments, heritage projects, medium density terrace and residential subdivisions across inner city, suburban, industrial and greenfield areas.
In addition, she has provided collaborative design and strategy advice and urban design assessment reports for various development projects within the private and public sector. She has also been involved in a range of community projects including the community- led ‘Our Future Avondale’ vision to bridge the gap between council and community and enable an authentic local voice to shape this changing neighbourhood in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.
Since joining TPG in 2021 Nina has worked on a range of projects with the multi-disciplinary TPG team of planners, urban designers and GIS experts for both private and public clients. Recent projects she has been involved with include the Gore District Plan Review, Christchurch City Council Medium Density Standards Capacity Analysis and in Structure and Development Plans for the central North Island area.
Nina’s design skills and background in architecture supports the wider TPG planning and property team by providing site and context analysis, concept design, housing and development feasibility modelling and bulk and location designs for large and small sites for a wide range of clients across Aotearoa.
