Nikki Rao

Nikki is a Planning Consultant based at TPG’s Auckland office.

Nikki provides planning services across both public and private sectors, including the preparation and processing of resource consent applications, due diligence assessments, and the delivery of quality planning advice under the Resource Management Act (RMA). Her project experience spans residential, commercial, heritage, and environmentally constrained developments, including multi-dwelling housing projects, heritage boatshed refurbishments, and emergency service facilities. She efficiently coordinates projects to achieve quality outcomes.

Prior to joining TPG, Nikki contributed to advancing GIS and environmental analysis capabilities within the marine sector, developing spatial models and workflows to assess ecological impacts and policy changes. She also brings strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills from her earlier work in publishing, where she collaborated with High Commissions and Embassies across Singapore.

Nikki also gained experience on a range of strategic urban projects including local centre rezoning and town centre revitalisation while obtaining her Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Urban Design.
