Dan Brazier

Senior Development Advisor

Dan is a Senior Development Advisor based at TPG's Auckland office. He has over 15 years’ experience in the property industry, having held specialist positions in development management, project management, valuation, and acquisition negotiations. Dan consults to several large New Zealand organisations, bringing with him excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and project leadership.

Dan was engaged by KiwiBuild as a senior development manager to support the Buy off the Plans team. In this role Dan led a team of development managers providing due diligence on development applications submitted by private developers.

Dan manages TPG’s Auckland Community Housing Provider (CHP) sector. Project work includes supporting CHPs with development advisory and development management services along with portfolio optimisation reviews and, financial feasibility assessments.

Dan was a key member of TPG’s acquisition team for the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA). He is a Crown Accredited Supplier for acquisition projects, and has been involved with the acquisition and disposal of land for the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and various Local Authorities as well as negotiations for various network easements and tower sites, and secondment roles with Nelson City Council, Tauranga City Council, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Dan has managed several new school acquisition and designation projects for the Ministry of Education. His role incorporated the procurement and management of external consultants, delivery of site acquisitions and Notice of Requirements for future school sites within the Ministry’s required time frames. Dan completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Project Management, which focused on project cost and time management, systems theory, and organisational behavior in project management.
