Clinton is a Senior Property Consultant - Development Management based at TPG's Wellington office. Clinton has over 20 years experience in urban renewal and regeneration projects, infrastructure planning and delivery.
Previous to joining TPG, Clinton held senior roles within the Christchurch Central Delivery Unit of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA), as Development Director Anchor Projects for the delivery of a portfolio of Anchor Projects, and roles supporting the establishment and leading a programme management office for the regeneration of central Christchurch.
Clinton has a strong understanding of planning and development drivers for urban, peri-urban and regional areas. This is built upon a strong track record of delivering major projects for the Fishermans Bend Urban Renewal Area (Melbourne), Melbourne Docklands, the Port of Melbourne and property investment roles with AMP.
Clinton was engaged by KiwiBuild as a subject matter expert. In this role he carried out due diligence, feasibility analysis and recommended viable affordable housing projects to KiwiBuild.
He was engaged as a senior advisor to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to deliver transitional and community housing supply across the country. This included the refurbishment of crisis accommodation, medium density modular housing construction and medium to high density residential developments.
Clinton regularly supports Wellington City Council and other Local Government Authorities on strategic urban development projects from property feasibility and business case perspectives, for example the establishment of an Urban Development Agency, housing and complex infrastructure projects.
He led a multi-disciplinary team to advise KiwiRail on sourcing land and the delivery of acquisition strategies for new intermodal freight hub developments in key locations of the North and South Island. Clinton was engaged by Koau Capital Partners to complete a desktop development potential assessment for properties under a Deed of Settlement Schedule: Property Redress between the Crown and Iwi.
