Bianca White
Bianca is a Corporate Counsel based at TPG’s Christchurch office.
With a decade of experience in the legal and property sectors of New Zealand and Australia, Bianca brings a breadth of industry knowledge to her role. She has a particular interest in helping to provide practical solutions to complex property matters for local territorial authorities, having spent considerable time working within the local government sector herself.
Bianca is experienced in providing advice and support in relation to land acquisitions, including associated risks and landowner entitlements under the Public Works Act 1981. She has extensive experience in considering and advising on the issues that arise with respect to private property rights that are impacted by public works and engaging with various stakeholders to provide robust outcomes. Bianca is familiar and adept with concepts such as Long-Term Plan cycles, principles of significance and engagement, and consultation requirements.
Gaining her legal qualifications through a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Melbourne’s Monash University in Australia, Bianca then earned her admission to the High Court of New Zealand as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2022.
Bianca also has a lengthy volunteering history and is passionate about matters of social justice. She is interested in the impacts of climate change from a strategic property perspective and has presented at a Local Authority Property Association regional meeting on this topic.
