Strategic property advice for Whangārei District Council

Whangārei District Council (WDC) was seeking independent strategic advice from a suitably experienced property advisory company to assess its entire commercial property portfolio. With the objective of ensuring their current assets are robust and in good shape for a secure future, they engaged TPG to provide advice on management and future enhancement of their commercial property portfolio, including formulating an investment strategy and advising on an appropriate delivery and governance structure.
To successfully develop this property strategy, we completed detailed feasibility studies for each viable development site, including:
RMA Planning density studies
Financial modelling to identify sites which presented profitable development prospects.
Our assessment identified viable development projects and ways that WDC could optimise the use of its land assets. With the findings and recommendations accepted by WDC, we then provided the evaluation and detailed analysis of the first of the development projects.
This partnership will help WDC to ensure the council continues to cater for the current and future needs of the community, in accordance with WDC’s 2015-2025 Long Term Plan.
