Werner Murray

Werner is a Principal Planner based in our Queenstown office.

Werner has over 16 years’ experience in resource management in the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago Districts,
Southland and Brisbane. He has held the roles of team leader, planning manager, principal planner, and project lead, both in territorial local authorities and as a planning consultant.

Working as the Principal Planner has included being principal advisor to Councils for various resource consent hearings and environment court cases, and writing up substantive decisions under delegated authority, and master
planning. As a consultant, the work has involved preparing and presenting planning evidence for hearing panels through to the Environment Court. As well as presenting and consulting on master planned development
proposals with the community, Councils and liaising with key stakeholders.
