Robin Chien

Robin is a Property Consultant based at TPG’s Auckland office.

Robin is focused on delivery for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) and KiwiRail on a myriad of property acquisitions and strategic projects.  Since joining TPG Robin has been supporting strategic advice for the Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC) Programme and assisting with the Multiple Criteria Analysis of Long List Options for the rebuild of State Highway 5, Napier.

Prior to joining TPG, Robin worked as a valuer for over a decade in Malaysia for Henry Butcher International Property Consultants, Rahim & Co. International Property Consultants and Cityvaluers & Consultants. He also gained experience in property development undertaking feasibility studies, site selection, due diligence, negotiations, decision making, problem solving, market research & regulations, financial analysis, project management, construction processes such as coordinating and managing consultants, architects, engineers and contractors as well as managing and leading a team during his time in Malaysia.

Robin brings a unique perspective from Malaysia to his role at TPG with the ability to speak Malay, Mandarin, Foochow, Hokkien & other Chinese dialects.
