Robert Johnston

Robert is a Senior Property Consultant based at TPG’s Christchurch office.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation and Property Management from Lincoln University, Robert spent several years working in residential property management in Christchurch. Robert is largely involved in the acquisition of land under the Public Works Act 1981. This work involves negotiating with landowners, and the preparation of agreements and reports.

Robert is a Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (Toitū Te Whenua LINZ) Crown Accredited Supplier. During his time at TPG, Robert has formed strong relationships with a wide range of clients, developing strong working relationships based on trust and integrity.

Robert has managed a large number of acquisition projects for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA), as well as for Toitū Te Whenua LINZ and Transpower.  He is experienced in complex acquisitions including business loss claims, business relocation, reinstatement of improvements and land exchanges.  As a manager of these projects, Robert has proven his ability to achieve key milestones on programme and demonstrates excellent communication with key stakeholders.
