Chris Leech
Chris is a Senior Property Consultant based at TPG’s Christchurch office.
Chris has proven business planning skills, having been involved with the strategic planning for a number of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) projects. These involve analyses of project milestones and key dates to determine project plans, and ensuring those key dates are met. Chris has developed strong relationships with landowners, clients, allied professionals and contractors which form part of his day to day work.
The majority of Chris’s clients are government agencies, including the Ministry of Education (MoE), NZTA and Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). Chris has previously been seconded to MoE in Christchurch as a School Property Advisor and more recently, has completed secondments with NZTA. Chris recently gained LINZ accreditation for Statutory Right of Repurchase and Dealing with Land under the Public Works Act 1981 (PWA).
Chris has extensive experience with property management, having managed several large commercial building portfolios. He was responsible for setting up a property management operation in Christchurch for a national property investment company, to manage their commercial and industrial property portfolio. Since joining TPG, Chris has been involved with both land acquisition and disposal planning/negotiation for NZTA and the MoE. Recent work with the MoE has included professional property advice as part of their earthquake redevelopment projects.
