Angela Jones
Angela is Planning Manager - Wellington, based at TPG's Wellington office.
Joining TPG in 2015, Angela is a qualified planner and a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI). With almost 30 years of experience in resource management roles, both in local government and consultancy, Angela has extensive experience in consenting, regulatory planning, advisory services, and policy development. The majority of these roles have focused on preparing and processing resource consent applications and Notices of Requirements for designations, as well as advising Government agencies, corporate and residential clients on RMA and planning-related matters for their property portfolios.
Angela completed the Making Good Decisions Course (chair endorsement) and sits as an independent hearings commissioner on numerous District Council hearings. Angela is skilled in the application and Assessment of Environmental Effects, as well as the preparation and feasibility of projects for a range of clients. These range from large-scale commercial and residential developments and subdivisions through to small-scale residential housing proposals, as well as regional Council applications such as discharge consents and water takes. Angela is highly competent in a complex and varied planning environment, including hearings.
Angela’s experience and expertise sees her assisting the wider TPG planning team on various consent and policy projects, including large scale infrastructure projects.
Angela has a detailed knowledge of the regulatory and consenting framework. She also has significant experience at the ‘coal face’, providing detailed knowledge of how the regulatory framework affects development proposals on the ground.
