Andrew Macleod

Director Planning

Andrew is TPG’s Director of Planning, based in our Wanaka office. He oversees TPG’s RMA Planning service nationally.

Andrew joined TPG in 2013 with a background in Resource Management Act (RMA) and public policy matters, bringing over twenty years’ experience working in New Zealand and Australia as a consultant and in local government.

Andrew has overseen the growth of RMA planning as a core service line within TPG, with over thirty planners now spread across our national office network.

In leading TPG’s planning team Andrew has been involved in, particularly at the strategic oversight level, various major infrastructure projects. TPG provides a unique property and planning service, purchasing property for major projects under the Public Works Act (PWA) often followed by the preparation of notices of requirement (NOR), led by the TPG Planning team.

  • Director responsible for TPG’s 25 strong national planning team
  • Strategic Advisor Porirua District Plan Review (2018-2019)
  • Project Leader WCC Urban Development Authority Project (2016-2017)
  • Expert witness to Christchurch (2015) City Council across a wide range of strategic urban planning matters in the Replacement Plan Hearings.

Andrew also oversees TPG’s Urban Regeneration service and serves as an Executive Director on the TPG Board.
