Leadership team appointments - July 2022
We are thrilled to advise of four internal promotions within our leadership team. Heidi, Nick, Kris and Jeremy have earned their respective appointments through dedication to delivering exceptional client experiences, living TPG’s values and continually demonstrating a growth mindset in their leadership development. Congratulations to them all.
These promotions coincide with the pending departure of Gareth Kilsby who will be leaving TPG at the end of September 2022 after 16 years of stellar service, most recently as TPG’s Chief Operating Officer. We wish Gareth all the best in what lies ahead for him and his family and thank him for the massive contribution he has made to TPG over the years.
Heidi Rix, Head of Corporate
Joining TPG in 2019, Heidi is a specialist in the corporate and investment property environment with over 23 years’ experience in corporate real estate, financial and risk management across many countries within listed, private, government and local authority environments across office, retail, industrial, utilities, infrastructure, hospitality, residential and corporate accommodation sectors.
Heidi’s core skills include financial management, innovation and efficiencies management, corporate advisory, property investment and development, site suitability and due diligence, portfolio analysis and structuring, property acquisitions and disposals, development management, corporate accommodation solutions, asset management, property management, risk analysis and mitigation, client engagement and relationship management.
Nick May, Chief Operating Officer
Nick has over 20 years of experience in senior consulting, operational, and commercial roles across a number of business sectors, including property, retail, logistics and banking.
Nick has particular experience in operational management, business planning, procurement, general property advisory and acquisition and disposal projects for private companies, Crown agencies, and Local Authorities.
Kris Connell, General Manager Wellington region
Kris has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry. In addition to his GM role, he is the national manager of TPG’s Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (Waka Kotahi) contracts, a position he shares with Chris Jones.
Kris has extensive experience in contract management and the acquisition and disposal of land under the Public Works Act 1981. His law qualification allows him to bring a different but complementary perspective to advisory services.
Since 2020 Kris has been an executive director on TPG’s board.
Jeremy Ball, General Manager Waikato/BoP region
With over 15 years of experience in the property industry, Jeremy has extensive knowledge and expertise in dealing with both public and private land, and leading teams to deliver exceptional solutions for our clients.
During his time at TPG, Jeremy has developed strong negotiation and project management skills and thrives on solving property problems. Jeremy’s management style reflects the collaborative approach he adopts with the extensive network of professional service providers he engages with.
