Penny Weng
Penny is a Principal Planner based at TPG's Christchurch office.
Penny has over 12 years’ planning experience and has been with the company since December 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Planning with First Class Honours from the University of Auckland. She is a Full Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and possesses a current Making Good Decisions Commissioner Certificate.
Throughout her career, Penny has successfully obtained non-notified resource consents for a diverse range of clients and projects across New Zealand. This includes leading and advising on complex proposals to achieve the best development outcome for clients within their specified timeframes.
Penny regularly prepares feasibility reports for site selection, highest and best use, and consenting strategy. Her expertise also extends to preparing notices of requirement, outline plan of works, and submissions and evidence for plan changes and district plan reviews.
Penny has processed resource consents across the full spectrum of types of applications, on behalf of councils across the country, as well as in London. She has also prepared section 42A reports, attended hearings, and prepared section 32 evaluations for a proposed district plan.
