Conor McIntosh

National Technical Lead/GIS Analyst

Conor is TPG's GIS National Technical Lead/GIS Analyst based at TPG’s Wellington office.

Coming from undergraduate and postgraduate study in GIS at Victoria University of Wellington, Conor initially entered the Forestry industry. Quickly finding a strong interest in property and better utilisation of land, he has since been with TPG and provides a range of capabilities and innovations to support our clients.

Combining his passions for interrogating large datasets and spatial analysis, Conor uses GIS as a tool for providing answers to everyday issues and developing solutions to add value to projects while facilitating more efficient workflows.

Connor works with property consultants, planners, and the wider TPG team across the country to provide GIS requirements for a wide range of projects. 

Developing bespoke project management tools using GIS, such as:

  • Using GIS as a tool in the successful management of complex roading and development projects, from conception through to delivery,
  • Helping councils across the country to understand their local and regional connections between place, people, culture, and Using spatial intelligence to underpin a holistic approach to spatial planning that implements central government direction while preserving local values.
  • Using GIS to inform development feasibility by accurately identifying geographic constraints, topology and undertaking demographic and market analysis to understand economic viability of proposed scenarios.
