This month The Property Group Limited’s (TPG) Planning team celebrates becoming a team of 30 RMA planners and urban designers across New Zealand.
TPG Planning was established in 2013 with Andrew Macleod, Director – Planning at the helm. With property sitting at the heart of planning – TPG’s competitive advantage quickly became the ability to provide integrated property and planning advice.
Andrew credits the accelerated growth of TPG’s planning team to “our team’s capability, our ability to add real value through our integrated approach to planning and property, and our passion for delivering the best results for our clients”.
Our planning team provide national perspective and hands on experience across the planning spectrum, including strategic planning advice, policy development, district plans, notices of requirement and resource consents.
The team provides these core services from 10 of TPG’s offices nationwide, including Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, New Plymouth, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Queenstown.
Andrew says the future is looking bright. TPG is actively working on a number of projects involving the current and changing policy context. In particular, the team has a strong understanding of the Urban Growth Agenda including the National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity and emerging guidance on the National Policy Statement for Urban Development.
Managing Director Wayne Crowley says “TPG has grown massively since its inception 20 years ago, and our planning capability has been a significant element of our overall business growth. We see this growth not only in personnel, but also through the geographical spread of 13 offices, and our wider core capabilities. I’m proud that as a team of over 170 consultants, we have never lost sight of our purpose – to deliver property expertise that builds a stronger New Zealand.”
