Last week TPG held its first completely virtual ‘lunch and learn’. Our lunch and learns are an opportunity for all our team members to gather and hear from someone in the business on their particular area of expertise or a recent successful project. Holding a lunch and learn remotely was important for us as a way to bring our nationwide TPG community together, as well as to share knowledge and remain transparent with our team. The lunch and learn was led by Sam Cottier, National Commerical Manager and Anna Harley, Principal Urban Designer from our Recovery Response Team, who spoke on recovery planning at TPG.
We used the Microsoft Teams live function to broadcast the presentation to over 120 of our team members, from Anna and Sam in their homes in Wellington.The programme worked perfectly for this purpose and was a great way to bring our people together virtually as ‘One TPG’, as well as maintaining our focus on learning and development.
We have been able to take a number of learnings from this for the future, surrounding new technology and how to foster collaboration while working remotely.
