Each year at TPG's Forum, our Board of Directors award an outstanding employee with the Peter Sampson Prize. This is a $6,000.00 cash prize established to commemorate the outstanding contribution Peter Ernest Sampson made to TPG. Peter was a founding Director and major shareholder who held the position of Operations Director in TPG from 1999 until his premature death in February 2005 at the age of 49. Although TPG’s 2020 Forum was not able to go ahead due to COVID-19, it was still important for us to present this award to the worthy recipient.
TPG would like to congratulate Gareth Nicholl, who is this year’s award recipient. Gareth is a Senior Property Consultant based in our Napier office. Gareth joined TPG in 2012 and since then has developed his expertise across a wide range of property activities including acquisitions, disposals, financial feasibilities, and land assessments for both public and private sector clients. In addition to his property consultancy work, Gareth recently took on the role of Quality, Health and Safety Advisor. Gareth’s proven initiative, expertise, and attention to detail have proved invaluable in this role for the benefit of TPG and our clients.
Gareth has strong relationships with his colleagues in the Napier office and throughout the country. He is a team player and is always willing to share his expertise with new members of the team, acting as a mentor to many team members. Gareth embodies TPG's core values of integrity, collaboration, positivity and caring. He is always willing to go the extra mile for his work, teammates, and clients, which was displayed recently through his major contributions to TPG’s recovery response efforts during and following COVID-19.
Gareth is an outstanding example of someone who displays TPG’s values and the values of the Peter Sampson Prize, and aspires to deliver an excellent client experience every time.
