Wayne brings integrity and solid leadership to his role as MD. With a background of over 20 years in contract management, public land transactions, lease management and negotiation, he has vast property knowledge. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional service solutions to clients.
Working within our Legal Team, Melanie is responsible for providing high quality legal services to TPG. Before joining TPG, Melanie spent 10 years in private practice in Wellington advising clients on property and public works matters and 3 years in London working for number of Borough Councils. She has broad experience in all aspects of property and public works, particularly acquisitions, disposals, easements, reserves and leasing.
Sam has a legal background and over 15 years’ experience in the property industry, both overseas and in New Zealand. Sam is responsible for the commercial strategy and business initiatives of the company, and works closely with the Regional Business Managers and Marketing Team.
Crown Accredited Supplier Rebecca has a vast background in property and infrastructure consulting. She has over 13 years’ experience in strategic planning, complex due diligence, negotiating, property transactions and project/client management.
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Alix recently moved to Wellington and joined TPG as a GIS Analyst. Alix is specialised in the use of Esri software, and assists TPG with the integration of the ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS for Server platforms. She provides quality GIS mapping services to clients to complement a range of property projects.
James has over 30 years’ consulting, valuation and property management experience in private practice, central government and LGAs. He is responsible for providing leadership in our LGA sector, driving new initiatives and overseeing projects around the country. His standing within the property industry has been recognised through his appointment to the Valuers Registration Board.
Sophie has 10 years of commercial property management and tenant advocacy experience in both Auckland and Wellington. Her areas of expertise include Property and Tenancy Management, Tenancy and Asset Management policies and procedures, Lease Negotiations, Facilities Management, Property Strategy and Due Diligence.
As Wellington GM, Nick has overall responsibility for TPG’s activities across the Wellington region. He is also a member of the national leadership group which defines and drives TPG’s national business strategy and customer relationships. Prior to joining TPG, Nick was General Manager – Properties for the National Australia Bank “NAB” where he was directly responsible for one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest property portfolios.
James leads the nationwide TPG legal team. His main responsibility is to provide specialist support, skills and legal advice on land tenure issues. He brings a high level of expertise and technical ability in property and Crown land.
Catherine has overseas experience working both for Councils and a private consultancy. With a background in Planning and Environmental Impacts Assessment (EIA), she has worked predominantly on large infrastructure and regeneration projects in the UK.
Andrew specialises in urban planning policy and development consenting under the RMA. As well as extensive experience in the private sector, his previous role was at Wellington City Council as District and Spatial Planning Manager. He heads our TPG Planning Team.
Paddy is a Crown Accredited Supplier with over 20 years’ experience with the transfer of public assets. As Manager Legal Services she is responsible for all operational staff in TPG’s nationwide legal team. She ensures the effective delivery of statutory services. With TPG since Day One, Paddy knows the company well and is involved in staff training and development.
Adam has over 20 years’ construction and development experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He came on board in 2014 to manage the development management arm of TPG, but more recently took over managing the Auckland team with a focus on driving and growing business in the Auckland region.
Chris is a qualified valuer, member of the NZ Property Institute, and LINZ Accredited Supplier with over 20 years' experience in the property industry. He provides consultancy services for a wide range of public and private clients and manages staff and operations across our Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki regions.
Debby is responsible for managing new opportunities, client relationships and leading a myriad of private and public sector projects in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki region. Debby holds a current REAA Salesperson’s licence and is in the latter stages of her Masters of CRE with CoreNet Global. She brings broad business and industry knowledge through her property and business experience and interests.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Stuart has over 26 years’ experience in both property management and property development. He is also a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Stuart’s greatest interest is in providing strategic advice to help property owners make the best of their investments and to identify and realise optimum outcomes.
With over 20 years experience in both property and finance, Gareth is responsible for the general operations, governance and financial functions of TPG. He is valued for his business acumen, approachability and dedication to improving the operations of the company.
Adrienne is a LINZ Accredited Supplier and has been part of our legal team for 7 years. She has completed many large scale legalisation actions for both the NZ Transport Agency and various LGAs. She has extensive experience in the land transfer area, having spent 13 years with Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), and has also spent two years as a sales partner for a real estate firm.
Craig is the General Manager for the Central North Island. Over the past five years Craig was responsible for growing business in the Auckland region, as well as managing existing client relationships.
Before TPG he spent many years working as a property consultant both here and in London, where he used his gift of the gab for negotiating property deals.
Chris is qualified in survey draughting, GIS/LIS and in valuation and property management. He also has over 24 years’ experience in the land status, acquisition, property management and disposal of Crown property.
As well as Operations Manager for the Central region, Mark is also Principal Advisor for telecommunications projects. His areas of expertise encompass property acquisition and disposal, project/client management and strategic planning.
Sam has been with the The Property Group Limited almost 6 years’ and has gained varied property industry experience and held positions in project management, development management, cost management and acquisition negotiations, including becoming a Land Information New Zealand Crown Accredited Supplier. He has extensive knowledge in dealing with public and private land and has negotiated and acquired numerous property interests of all types.
Sam has been involved with a number of projects for both public and private clients. This includes feasibility studies on the highest and best uses for the site to identify the optimum outcome for the property, right through all phases of the project from funding to design and construction and stakeholder management.
Tony is responsible for the operations of our Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin offices. He brings over 25 years’ property experience with a solid background in cadastral surveying, land acquisitions and resolving public land issues.
Angela is a qualified planner and is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute. With over 20 years’ experience in resource management roles, both in local government and consultancy, Angela has extensive consenting and regulatory planning experience.
Kevin was responsible for setting up TPG Mapping and managing our Quality Business Systems and certification. He specialises in energy and transportation work, as well as public land issues and project management.
Yvonne is qualified in valuation and property management and is a Crown Accredited Supplier with over 20 years’ experience in infrastructure consulting. Over the last five years Yvonne has worked almost exclusively within the energy sector, working closely with client organisations to secure land access and consents for transmission and distribution networks. As a result she has earnt the role as TPG’s Principal Advisor – Energy.
Ian has over 37 years of property consulting expertise, specialising in the acquisition and management of property for both Crown and private agencies. His experience includes aggregating property for supermarkets, overseeing resource management processes and property management. Ian also has experience in Public Works Act matters.
Andrew is a LINZ Accredited Supplier and assists clients with the negotiation and acquisition of land under the Public Works Act 1981. In addition, he is experienced in the acquisition of land for non public work infrastructure such as substations, well sites, pipeline and electricity easements, land access rights and disposal of surplus land. With over 30 years' property experience, Andrew also provides strategic property advice to local authorities and corporations in the Taranaki region and holds a Real Estate Agents licence.
A LINZ accredited supplier for the past 15 years, Bevan has managed many large Public Works Act Legalisation Projects for NZ Transport Agency and Local Authorities. Major projects include SH16/18 Hobsonville, SH20 Mt Roskill and Napier-Hastings Expressway.
LINZ Accredited Supplier Bruce is a technical expert on land tenure, cadastral and statutory land data. He is a specialist in the provision of historical land ownership analysis for land status reports. He has been with TPG since it was formed in 1998, primarily responsible for the provisions of legal services to facilitate property acquisitions and disposals for the NZ Transport Agency.
Karli is a qualified planner with over 17 years' experience in resource management roles. Having worked in Australia, the UK and New Zealand on a broad range of projects in central government, local government, construction and consultancy, Karli has extensive consenting and regulatory planning experience.
Chris has extensive experience with property management and was responsible for setting up property management operations in Christchurch for a national property investment company. While working for TPG he has displayed outstanding business and interpersonal skills. He has been involved with strategic planning for a number of New Zealand Transport Agency and Ministry of Education Projects.
Dave is a Registered Valuer, Senior Member of the Property Institute of New Zealand, and has LINZ Accreditation. He has in excess of 20 years in the property industry with broad urban valuation experience together with residential and commercial property investment / management experience.
As a LINZ accredited supplier with over 20 years’ experience in property related matters, Micaella brings technical expertise on cadastral data, historical research, land status reports, and dealing with surplus Crown land under the PWA 1981. Micaella is working with the GIS Mapping Team producing property GIS solutions for clients around New Zealand.
Dave has over 35 years’ experience in property consulting work and is a Fellow of the Property Institute of New Zealand. He is vastly experienced in acquisitions and disposals under the Public Works Act 1981 for various government agencies, authorities and LGAs. The Tauranga Eastern Link is the latest major project Dave has been involved with.
Karen has approximately 10 years’ experience in resource management roles in local government and has a high level of expertise in both consenting and policy planning work.
Karen’s local government background provides her with a solid grounding in statutory and environmental planning. Karen has also participated in Council hearings and acted as an expert witness on a number of occasions.
Glen has spent over 10 years in commercial property consulting, specialising in major infrastructural projects. His expertise includes assessing and reporting property costs, evaluating acquisition strategies, and forecasting of annual acquisition budgets.
Gareth worked as a Registered Valuer for 10 years before joining TPG in 2012. He has extensive experience in public works including assessment of compensation, negotiating acquisitions, selling surplus properties, and associated property research and investigations. Gareth is a Crown Accredited Supplier for disposals and is working towards accreditation for acquisitions.
Gina has over 15 years’ experience with the transfer of public assets. She is a LINZ Accredited Supplier and the Assistant Manager of the Napier legal team. A specialist for the NZ Transport Agency, Gina has direct responsibility for assisting with major Transport Agency transactions.
Graeme has over 30 years’ experience in property consulting. He is experienced in acquisition and disposals under the Public Works Act 1981. He also has a background in farming and residential care. The Huntly Bypass project is the latest major project Graeme has been involved with.
Heather is an experienced property consultant who has worked with a wide range of clients in Canterbury, Nelson, Marlborough and the West Coast. Heather specialises in Government and Local Authority land transactions and infrastructural property consulting work.
Iain operates as a LINZ accredited supplier throughout the lower South Island. Prior to his TPG acquisition projects for the NZ Transport Agency, Iain spent many years in the Valuation field. He has extensive experience in negotiation and dispute resolution.
Iain has been providing specialist legal services to TPG for overs six years. He has a prominent role in the provision of legal advice in relation to the acquisition/disposal of land under the Public Works Act 1981 and associated legislation. Iain’s breadth of experience, including managing a large disposal contract for a high-profile client, make him an invaluable member of the TPG legal team.
Jeremy is a Registered Property Consultant and LINZ Accredited Supplier who specialises in acquisitions across infrastructure projects. He has extensive knowledge in dealing with public and private land which is supported with strong negotiation skills, project management and an attention to detail. Jeremy has also been through the Property Institute of New Zealand’s Leadership Program.
Ken is a LINZ Accredited Supplier and a Registered Valuer. He has 30 years experience in the property industry with extensive experience the acquisition and disposal of public land and the valuation of residential, commercial and infrastructural property.
Kris has over 15 years’ experience in negotiating complex acquisitions and disposals for a range of clients, most recently leading the acquisition work for the Transport Agency’s RONS Projects in the Lower North Island. Kris has proven experience in leading a team to deliver land for major infrastructure projects such as the M2PP Expressway.
Louise is a LINZ Accredited Supplier and has been part of our legal team for 18 years. Over that time she has completed many legalisation projects for the NZ Transport Agency, local authorities and the Treasury, including the transfer of various power companies to the respective State Owned Enterprises; and other major projects including the legalisation of Waterview Connection Project, State Highway 2 Mangatawhiri, State Highway 1 Te Rapa and State Highway 3 Bell Block.
LINZ accredited supplier Leo has been involved extensively in the acquisition and disposal of land for government and local government for more than two decades. He offers both sound research and strong negotiation skills.
Nick is experienced in project management in the engineering and transport fields. Prior to TPG he worked in the Christchurch City Council’s Transport Unit, first as a roading technician, then in contract management. Nick was involved in the earthquake operations centre which was operating around the clock in the Christchurch Art Gallery in response to the national disaster.
Resource Consents Planner Natasha has extensive experience in both the public and private sector across New Zealand. Her analytical skills and thorough understanding of the consents process make her a formidable force.
Nigel has three decades of specialist expertise in land and property. As a LINZ accredited supplier, Nigel has extensive knowledge of land registration requirements. The disposal of properties is another key speciality, having worked on many projects for government agencies and local authorities.
Nicky is an experienced negotiator with a background in property valuation and market research, working in both Europe and New Zealand in her 20-year career.
Nicky's experience spans urban property valuation, property acquisition and disposal under the Public Works Act including compulsory acquisition, feasibility studies and property due diligence, and land status investigations. Nicky covers the Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast districts for TPG.
She has had involvement in local government infrastructure projects in the Nelson-Tasman region, being a key negotiator for the acquisition of land for road, storm water pipelines and channels and water reticulation projects for territorial authorities.
Nicky has led commercial property due diligence investigations, managed commercial property subdivision projects, and negotiated electricity easements for government and network utility providers.
Our in-house legal team now comprises of over 18 members, but Peter is our original lawyer. A nationally acknowledged guru in PWA 1981 compensation and Section 40 requirements, Peter specialises in public land issues, easements and other legal rights required for infrastructural projects.
Peter is an experienced property consultant based in the Nelson office with coverage of Nelson, Marlborough and the West Coast. He has extensive experience in government and local government land issues.
Rachel has been providing specialist legal advice on the acquisition and disposal of publicly owned land for over 15 years. With a number of large projects under her belt (such as SH20 Waterview and currently the Ara Tuhono-Puhoi to Wellsford Motorway ), Rachel is one of our statutory services gurus. She brings a high level of expertise and technical ability to the legal side of TPG’s core business.
Phil has extensive knowledge of the Tauranga and surrounding property market through almost thirty years’ experience as a Registered Valuer. He has valued a wide range of properties for public and private clients, concentrating mainly on commercial, industrial and development properties, including a number of valuations for compensation purposes. He has recently moved to The Property Group where he will initially be involved with property disposals.
Steve acts as a specialist property advisor for government and corporate clients providing strategic advice and assistance. He is a LINZ Accredited Supplier specialising in acquisitions across infrastructure projects. He has strong negotiations skills and extensive knowledge in dealing with public and private land acquisitions. Steve has over 25 years’ experience in the property industry having worked in Europe and Australia, and more recently as a Registered Valuer for over ten years valuing all types of property throughout the Waikato.
A qualified valuer Steve has been working in property for over 40 years. Steve is a skilled negotiator and experienced in liaising with property related experts, engineers and planners. He has wide-ranging specialist skills encompassing property and easement acquisition, portfolio management, commercial consultancy, disposals and maintenance management.
Jackie brings support, skills and legal advice on land tenure issues, with over 20 years’ experience in property law. In conjunction with the other members of the legal team, Jackie is able to bring a high level of expertise and technical ability in legal areas relating to TPG’s core business.
Tim acts as a specialist property advisor for corporate clients providing strategic advice and undertaking complex projects. He has a Masters Degree in Property Studies (with distinction) and during his career of more than 30 years he has negotiated over 1,000 property transactions. He now focuses on strategic reviews of client's property assets, processes and property teams, site selection, property acquisitions, office accommodation reviews, commercial leasing, the rationalisation of property portfolios, and property disposals.
Angela joined TPG in 2017 having returned to New Zealand after 16 years living in the UK.
While living offshore Angela worked in both the rail and telecommunications sectors in property acquisition, project management, strategy development and delivery of commercial contracts for large scale in-building telecommunications deployments.
Clinton is a strong property development management professional with circa 20 years experience in urban renewal and regeneration projects, infrastructure planning and delivery, programme and project management and property economics.
Karyn-Maree qualified as a solicitor and has a general background in property law from 3 years private practice before joining TPG. She is a LINZ Accredited Supplier for the acquisition and disposal of Crown land, with over 12 years’ experience in infrastructure consulting, including within the energy and local authority sectors.
Erin has been with The Property Group since 2002 and part of the legal team for 14 years . Over that time she has completed many settlements actions for and on behalf of various Crown owned agencies and local authorities. After obtaining the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Diploma and becoming an Affiliate member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives, Erin has been a Registered Legal Executive since 2011.
Bruce has over 20 years’ experience in planning and urban design. The majority of his project work has been in designing masterplans for both medium density infill projects and new greenfield communities and towns. He has also worked on the development of several urban design guidelines for developers and local authorities.
Blair has around 14 years experience in planning, which spans a wide range of work - masterplanning new communities, working on plan changes, transport planning and infrastructure planning and consenting.
Born and raised in the Cook Islands, Mana’s work experience’s comprised of the development of IT systems for public and private sector organisations such as websites and databases.
This eventually lead to the development of GIS web platforms and training for Emergency Management divisions for pacific island countries including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands and Palau.
