Louise Cooper

Louise is a Senior Legal Executive based at TPG’s Napier office.

Louise graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 1995 and has worked in the legal environment for over 20 years. Louise brings a high level of expertise and technical ability in legal areas relating to TPG’s core business and is responsible for the ongoing legalisations for NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA), Crown agencies and local authorities, providing specialist support and advice to these clients in dealing with Public Works Act 1981 matters.

Louise has experience in legalising agreements under the Public Works Act 1981, including preparing and registering gazette notices, discharge of Compensation Certificates, new Records of Title, easements, land covenants and encumbrances, transfers of land, Report and Conclusions, land status investigation, property reports, notation and withdrawal of Right of First Refusal encumbrances. Louise has been instrumental in the preparation and registration of Compulsory Acquisition notices, including Briefings to the Minister and the withdrawal of notices,

Louise facilitated the transfer of land from the Crown to various power companies under the State Owned Enterprises Act 1986.
