TPG is a nationwide New Zealand owned and operated business and we care about the environment and community we operate in. As a local business, we want to support our local community in collaboration with our team.
The team chose to support KidsCan, who are working to meet the needs of children living in hardship. Like TPG, they are not just national, but local, working in collaboration with over 600 schools to remove hurdles faced by New Zealand’s most vulnerable children so that they can reach their full potential. This is why 140 staff across 12 offices were asked to nominate and vote for a charity who they believed best matched our core values of collaboration, integrity, care, and positivity.
To TPG, partnering with KidsCan makes sense. We are a New Zealand business, supporting a New Zealand charity, who are improving educational outcomes for disadvantaged New Zealand children.
KidsCan exists to meet the physical and nutritional needs of Kiwi kids less fortunate than others. Their mission is to provide food, clothing and basic healthcare in schools to enable disadvantaged children to be more engaged in their education and reach their full potential.
KidsCan starts its work with children at primary school level and supports them for as long as they need it, right through high school in some cases. They focus on three core areas: food, clothing and health.
Together with individuals, community, businesses, and government KidsCan works to alleviate child hardship and create long-term change. KidsCan's practical programmes ensure a greater number of disadvantaged New Zealand children are able to achieve good educational outcomes and reach their full potential.
